From Prototype to Playable Adventure
October 8: A real development playthrough documented the game's quests, combat, shops, leveling and exploration with 98 authentic gameplay captures.

We put the current main-branch game through an actual browser playthrough to document what The Faded Vagrant can already do—not what we hope it will eventually become. The capture project recorded 98 original gameplay screenshots covering all 18 playable maps, seven Greyhaven interiors, the northern woods and the Old Cave.
Starting with a fresh game, the tester spoke to residents, bought and collected items, completed Silver Leaves and Wolves at the Old Road, fought three wolves, and earned enough XP to reach level 2 with two attribute points and one skill point. Missing Patrol was unlocked and progressed through the watchpost and blood-trail investigation toward the cave. The Road Bandit was also recorded through an actual dialogue-to-combat interaction.
The captures also document inventory, equipment descriptions, attributes, skills, merchants, scenery and enemy encounters. Not everything was completed on camera: Missing Patrol's final Alpha victory, badge recovery and turn-in were not verified in this playthrough, and some cave combat visuals still need polish.
This work was a documentation and gameplay-verification milestone, not a new player release. Its screenshot library and reports remain in an unmerged GitHub pull request. The web build is our development and testing environment; the planned Android APK is not yet released.
